David Ortiz Wants 1-Year Suspensions For Positive Steroid Tests
I agree. David Ortiz actually has something right, unlike playing on the Red-Sox and all. Baseball players shouldn't be allowed to cheat. It teaches younger kids that messing with your body like that is acceptable. I strongly believe The Major Leagues should be to set a higher standard in quality players. Alex Rodriguez just the other day admitted to using in 2003 which makes three Yankee players now. But also in there defense all the guys have egos and persanas to be like super-heros in the public eyes and if they don't follow what they have done in the past the fans will start to hate them in the future if they don't perform to there expectations. So either way it's a lot of strees being put on you being a baseball player or anyone in a sport these days.
Fred Taylor Released by Jaguars
I can't believe the Jaguars are that greedy or money hungary to release such a great player. For his 11 years as a Jag, Taylor has rushed for more than 11,000 yards and to them I would think he would be worth 6 million to keep him around. His replacement Maurice Jones-Drew will be named starter next year. Its probably in better interests for Taylor to find a new team that can appreciate his talents instead of throwing it away. Hopefully we'll see him back up Marion Barber next year for the Cowboys.
Richardson Busted for Excessive Speeding
"Phoenix Suns guard Jason Richardson was arrested in Scottsdale after police said he was driving 55 mph above the limit with his unrestrained 3-year-old son in the car." It goes on to say that he was going 90mph in a 35 zone. For me thats some bad parenting the kid didn't even have a seatbelt on and he wasn't in a child seat either. Since he's in the NBA it's like you can do whatever you want, I guess. The officer that pulled him over brought him to jail and he was only there for a hour. It doesn't say if he lost his linsence or not, but at 55 mph over i think anyone should loose there drivers linsence it shouldn't matter how a big a star you are if you do the crime you should do the time.
